This is just on loop this entire run okay.

You find yourselves standing in a large room that… appears to be swaying slightly, the longer you stand there the more you seem to notice it. A quick look out the window reveals an open ocean, you must be on a ship! I hope you don't get seasick! But it's eerily quiet in here, the only sounds coming from anyone else occupying the room with you. There is only [one door visible in the room], the faint sound of voices just barely penetrating through the door. A small letter sits on the door, which reads:

To meet Captain Île Flottante, bring a treasure worthy enough to earn your place among the crew.

Scattered around the room are [various map charting and navigation tools], along with [basic weaponry]. Swords, spears, shields, bows and arrows, even a few old-style flintlock guns. They all look clean and well-used.

The most eye-attracting piece though is a [large red crystal] atop a stone pedestal sits in the middle of the room, a glowing golden lamp sitting atop it. The three sides of the crystal pillar shimmer with a golden light, faintly glowing with different shapes and a description underneath:

The Silver Tiara

Legends say this tiara belonged to the princess of a queendom who unfortunately perished at a young age. Whomsoever holds this tiara may make their claim as the ruler of the queendom, which is why the tiara stands under heavy guard by an invading kingdom. Break in and retrieve the tiara, so it may be returned to its rightful owner.

The Bronze Goblet

Legends say this goblet was the treasured item of a band of heroes who faced numerous foes together. The goblet represented their bond and traveled wherever the band did, but one day tragedy struck and their boat sank. Though the heroes all survived, the goblet was lost to the sea. New rumors have emerged saying that a recently beached ship might just be the lost ship of heroes. Investigate the beached ship and find the goblet so it can be returned to the heroes for one more shared drink.

The Crystal Dagger

Legends say this cursed dagger was used to end the life of a tyrant queen and plunged a queendom into ruin. A band of thieves have taken up residence in the ruins and plan to sell the dagger to the highest bidder. Travel to the ruined queendom and find the dagger before it can be used to ruin another.

Instinctively, you know that putting your hand against one of the sides of the pillar will begin your treasure hunt. Take the time you need to prepare yourself before heading out.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

You slip in through the hole to find yourself in a laboratory of sorts. [Assorted vials] line the walls, most of the labels too dirty to read. [Broken machinery] lays scattered across the room, as do [rolled up scrolls] piled here and there. A [decorated door] stands at the other end of the room, along with a [plain door] next to you.

[SCROLLS.]

[Time to look at the scrolls!]

There are rolled up scrolls that appear to be blueprints. Some of them lay out how to repair the broken machinery in this room, in fact!

[Oooooh.]

[Let's take a look at the broken machinery and compared and contrast.]

It seems like you could get these machines repaired again with a bit of time!

[Hmmm, okay, okay.]

[First, let's take a look at those vials.]

[Also looks at strange liquids in vials, they're often useful! Or poison.]

The vials stand in an assortment of colors, unlabeled unfortunately, with different scents wafting from each one.

[....I mean, she's got nature and herbalism proficiency, regularly summons acid to her claws and fangs, can she use those skills to identify the smells????]

Sounds good enough to me. They're potions with varying effects, one a healing potion, another to restore energy in general, it seems like they all are fairly basic support magic in vial form.

[....yeah, gonna take one of each of those, JUST IN CASE.]

[Okay, gonna check what's behind the plain door.]

The plain door leads to a murky hallway, half filled with water. Most of the doors are too destroyed or damaged to to get through by this point, except for one.

[I mean, Pygmy Mouse is still a thing-]

[But she'll investigate the still intact door.]

You push the door open... to see it leads to the captain's room you were in earlier!

Oh. Way back, I guess. [Will scan though. Does it look The Exact Same?]

It does. No need to bother Vivi outside, it seems.

[Well, still reason to.]

[All right, heading back to fancy door!]

The fancy door... appears to be locked! If you look closely, you'll notice pipes that seem to connect to the broken machinery.

[Oooooh. Well, okay! Time to get afixing!]

[Following instructions very carefully.]

It takes some time and some work, but soon the broken machinery whirrs back to life, lighting the room with electricity and causing some loud clanking noises to come from the other side of the [decorated door].

Some of the machinery also activates what appears to be a brewer, which sets about mixing together liquids to make a final [pink liquid] which drips into a vial.

[Ooooh. Let's try to identify the pink liquid.]

The pink liquid seems to be some kind of reanimation liquid.

..... [Holy shit.]

[Put a stopper on that and in the bag it goes. To the fancy door!]
